Questions

How do I make my first sheet?

Open the Tray, pick a jar and tap the tray to drop paint — hold to let a drop grow. Pull the Comb or the Rake across it. Tap Pull a sheet, choose a format, then sweep down from the tab on the sheet outline. Lift, and your sheet appears.

Why does my second sheet look pale?

The first pull lifts most of the paint under the sheet, as on a real tray. The next pull from the same spot is a ghost. A third is not possible until you add fresh paint or move the sheet somewhere else.

What are the bubbles and the line across my sheet?

They come from how you laid it. A fast sweep traps air; a pause leaves a faint line where you stopped. If you want clean sheets every time, switch on Clean pulls in Settings.

Where are my sheets kept? Do I need an account?

No account. Every sheet is in Pulls, on your iPhone. Open one to export it again as PNG or PDF, save it to Photos, or reopen the tray it came from.

Does it work offline?

Yes, all of it. The connection is only used for optional notifications and the version check at launch.

How do I use a sheet as wallpaper?

Choose the Wallpaper format, pull, then Save to Photos. In Photos, open the image and choose Use as Wallpaper. Apps cannot set wallpaper themselves on iOS.

How do I print one?

Pull an A5 or A4 sheet, choose PDF for print, and keep the 3 mm bleed on if your printer trims. Crop marks are optional.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

Settings in the app (the sliders icon), or iOS Settings → Veinleaf → Notifications.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Reset everything removes all trays, sheets, palettes and preferences from this iPhone. To have notification identifiers deleted from our provider too, email us.

Troubleshooting

Notifications don't arrive

Check iOS Settings → Veinleaf → Notifications and Focus modes. Notifications only go out when a recipe or tool is added, so days without one are normal.

My sheets are gone after reinstalling

Sheets live only on the device. Deleting the app deletes them, unless your iPhone backup restored the app's data. Export the ones you want to keep.

A recipe picture or a sheet doesn't load

Very large trays take a moment to redraw. If a sheet says its tray is gone, the tray was removed by Reset everything and the sheet cannot be redrawn.

Tilt doesn't move the paint

Turn on Tilt in the tray menu (•••), hold the phone flat and choose Hold flat and set level. Small tilts under three degrees are ignored on purpose.
